About the Float Team opportunity:

  • Full time or part-time with a regular or flexible weekday schedule.
  • The clinician provides coverage for PCHC providers on leave/vacation/sick/CME.
  • No regular panel management responsibility.
  • Weekday outpatient clinic only. No weekends. No inpatient.
  • Float full-time schedule: 4 clinic days; 1 admin day remote or onsite
  • Clinic hours: Mon-Wed-Fri 8:30-5:00; Tues & Thurs 12:00-8:00 pm
  • Float providers are members of PCHC’s clinician team. The internal Float team was established in 2018 and is an integral part of our ability to enhance patient access.

ABOUT PCHC:  Established in 1968, PCHC is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Rhode Island with 10 sites in the city of Providence. Our care teams also provide integrated behavioral health, reproductive health counselors, clinical pharmacists and in-house dental, optometry, podiatry, nephrology, rheumatology, and asthma/allergy services. With 600 employees, PCHC provides care for 80,000 patients in the underserved communities throughout Providence.  PCHC uses Epic electronic medical records.

Physicians applying for positions at Providence Community Health Centers must have completed a United States accredited residency training program and must be board certified/board eligible.

In addition, for international physicians, candidates are required to hold a ECFMG certificate and required to have passed the USMLE exams.
